The Menorca Film Festival starts engines and targets the UN 2030 agenda
5th edition in progress
The fifth edition of the Menorca Film Festival, scheduled for the third week of July, bets on following the line of sustainability initiated in the last call and reinforces the contents by putting forward the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals. After a fourth edition that has continued to increase in attendance and space figures, the fifth edition assumes the challenge of consolidating the different sections, giving more prominence to the proposals of short films both those presented from the Balearic Islands and the international ones and, evidently, the feature films section. The formula of “Guest Island” will be repeated and the festival will be completed with the well-known children’s sessions and that of “Young Talent” for Balearic creators.
Of vital importance will be the celebration for the fifth year of two days of professional conferences where professionals and people from the sector meet to discuss issues of shared interest.
Menorca 365
The sustainable footprint also extends to the activities of Menorca 365, a cycle of activities that take place on the island of Menorca throughout the year, since the Festival does not stop. Menorca 365 focuses on pedagogy on audiovisual art, filling schools and libraries with activities for the younger audience, and also organizing the second cycle of “Cinema and Reserve” and the pairing between cinema and gastronomy through the “Cooking Films “.
